My name is Andie Mckillop and I am a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor in the beautiful Okanagan Valley. When I’m not working, I love to spend time outside with my 2 boys, either hiking, swimming or just hanging out at the beach. At home, I can be found in the chicken coop or up in a tree picking the various fruits I enjoy growing so much. In the evenings, you can find me around the fire pit, spending time with the people I am fortunate enough to call family and friends.
PROFESSIONAL COUNSELLING RATES
• Individual or Couples Counselling ~ $130 per 50 min session • $195 per 75 min session. Sliding scale fee’s may be offered upon consultation and at the discretion of the counsellor. This service may be covered by some extended medical service plans but as each individual plan varies, it is best to check with your provider in advance. ACCT #2787

I’VE NEVER BEEN TO COUNSELLING BEFORE, WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
At Lotus Counselling, I strive to provide a safe, comfortable and inviting space to welcome clients into. During the first session, I spend time getting to know you and what has brought you to counselling, what some of your goals may be and what you hope to get out of our time together. I know that talking about difficult things can be hard and may feel awkward or unnatural at times. That is why I aim to make each client feel accepted and heard without the fear of judgement or criticism. Building relationships based on mutual trust, respect and genuine connection is extremely important to me in my work as a professional counsellor.
IS COUNSELLING COVERED BY EXTENDED MEDICAL BENEFITS?
Coverage will depend on each individual plan and what services the provider is willing to cover. Some plans can be very specific with regards to what qualifications they will accept for coverage. It is best to consult with your provider prior to treatment to determine if coverage is possible.
WHAT TYPES OF COUNSELLING DO YOU OFFER?
I offer individual counselling for children, teens and adults. Some of the concerns I am able to address include: Anxiety/Depression, Family Conflict, Self Esteem, Violence/ School Issues, Mood Disorders, Crisis Intervention and Domestic Violence.
